We just got back from a trip upstate. After the 5 hour drive, I was in no mood to cook for my family. Besito immediately came to mind.
I ordered my absolute favorite dish, the roasted sweet potato street taco. It's actually 3 tacos on warm corn tortillas with roasted corn [literally off the cob], spicy pumpkin seeds, queso asado + serrano toreados salsa. The combination of sweet + spicy is PERFECTION.
We also got the enchilada suizas [shredded chicken, salsa tomatillo con crema, queso chihuahua, onions, cilantro], grilled chicken quesadilla, double guacamole + sweet plantains.
The ingredients were so fresh & delicious. The quac was made with homemade tortilla chips + salsa. Needless to say, we needed a siesta after we devoured our meal.
We also love that Besitos gives back, supporting the Feed the Hungry San Miguel organization, which provides hot meals to hungry school children in San Miguel.
